Glory Days

1. Life at School & College:

While you may have been a legend in college, sometimes you just need to hang it up. Although your stories make for good conversation at some places, no one wants to constantly hear about how awesome your school/college experience was. What happened is in the past and it’s time for you to start realizing that. Now you have to realize that there is no room for those glory age tales.

2. New world Sucks:

College has gotten you accustomed to a good lifestyle where everything is all laid out and planned for you. There is little to no thinking involved and you are forced to follow this system if you want to make it through. In the real world, you are in for a rude awakening as you are solely responsible for making yourself successful.
No one is going to hold your hand and many times people just can’t deal with this. They followed the cookie cutter model for their lives and of course now want to complain when they have a sh*tty desk job in a cubicle.

3. Weekends:

Every school has their version of a homecoming/ alumni weekend where graduates make a comeback to campus in order to enjoy themselves and to reminisce about their past experiences. Honestly nothing special goes on during this weekend, but people feel like they need to come back and attempt to relive their college life one day as an adult. It’s just a bunch of washed up greek life stars trying to reclaim their old glory for a day.

4. School/College concerts:

Once you’re done, you’re done. Concerts and school events are no longer for you. Don’t be that kid that is still fascinated by who is performing at their school and when. Now that you are a professional, you actually have money to see your favorite bands when they come to your city. It’s just a little creepy when you’re the oldest one in the crowd trying to go as hard as the rest of the kids around you.

5. Talking about go to back to glory days:

There will always be those people that will never let their college experiences go. We get it, you had a blast and now people are talking about you as if you were a legend. This notoriety hasn’t really been able to help you in the real world, but for some reason you still cling to your college life. If you’re one of those people who constantly goes around wishing that they were still in school then you are doing something wrong. Grow up and live life.

6. Cycling with old pals:

Now this takes some dedication, but being able to remain loyal to one group of friends is not the easiest task. We all have our crazy stories and love triangles that occurred during our four year tenure at school. However, if your dating career post college is still influenced by people you stayed with in college, then you have a problem.

"You'd know how the time flies.

Only yesterday was the time of our lives.

We were born and raised in a summery haze.

Bound by the surprise of our glory days."

What will happen to your Facebook after you die?

Facebook has announced that it will grant users more control over what happens to their Facebook pages after they die. Starting Thursday, users should see a new option pop up in their security settings that will let them choose whether they want to pass their information and account management over to someone else when the time comes.

This is not something that people like to talk about. But the truth is that what happens to your data after death is as big a question now as what happens to your physical property. Just think of all the information you store online, or communicate in e-mail. Google already offers a similar tool to let you decide what to do with the trove of e-mail and other data it has on its users. Yahoo Japan has a full-fledged service to let people know about your death and handle all of your data management.
Facebook is a bit of a different animal, however, since it's social by design. The site was originally designed for college students by a college student. It's probably safe to say that handling the profiles of the dead wasn't a consideration Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg gave much thought to in his Harvard dorm room. So Facebook has had to evolve a response over time -- Facebook pages are often a place where friends and family congregate to grieve. The company already offers the option for people to report the death of a Facebook user, which "memorializes" the account and basically freezes it. You can't change anything posted, change the audience for any postings or even log in to the account.
But that wasn't enough for a lot of Facebook users, said Vanessa Callison-Burch, a Facebook product manager.  "There were a lot of asks about features we could add," she said. "People wanted the ability to respond to new friend requests, and do more with the account going forward."
After a year of working on the project, Facebook is implementing some changes based on feedback it's gotten from users. As of Thursday, there will be three basic options:
  • You can do nothing, in which case the current rules apply and your account can be memorialized by anyone after your death, providing that the company gets adequate proof of your death.
  • You can ask Facebook to delete your account after you die.
  • You can designate someone --  called your legacy contact -- to manage your account. Once Facebook is notified of your death, your timeline will also change to let people know you've died. Facebook does this by adding the word "Remembering" ahead of your name -- i.e. "Remembering John Doe."
The legacy contact must be a Facebook user and will be able to do specific things, such as accept requests from those who want to befriend an account to do things such as post messages on a user's timeline. Contacts will also be able to pin posts to the top of a profile page and change the late person's profile picture or cover photo. To keep from unduly upsetting a deceased Facebook users' friends, these types of notifications will be suppressed -- meaning you shouldn't see them pop up on your own timeline, alongside normal profile updates.
Facebook users can also specify whether they'd like the legacy contact to access a downloadable archive of their Facebook information after death. Sure, the information you post on Facebook probably isn't crucial -- your photos, your cheesy inspirational quotes, your bad puns -- but those little things are also often what people miss about you when you're gone.
Photo access, in particular, is one thing that Facebook often gets asked about in the event of a Facebook user's death, Callison-Burch said.
Messages, however, aren't included in this archival data, since you can't grant sharing permission for the person on the other side of the conversation. Unfortunately, that's the same reason that pages that are currently memorialized won't be able to access these new features -- there's just no way to get that retroactive permission, she said.
When you pick a legacy contact, you can choose whether to notify them at that time or not. You can also change your legacy contact at any time -- and he or she won't be notified of that change -- just in case your circumstances change.
Facebook is going to continue working on ways to make this painful process a little smoother over time. Callison-Burch said her team thinks of this as the first version of this tool, including just the most-requested features that it's heard from users.
The legacy contact option will come to the United Statesd first. Users who designate a legacy contact will be reminded each year about their decision, in case they want to make any changes. Facebook plans to bring the feature to other countries, but is taking its time to make sure that it responds with care to each country's attitudes toward death.

Secrets of Google

1. Track your package:

If you perform an electronic purchase via eBay or other websites, and you keep on tracking your item via certain websites, then this feature is for you. Now, there is no need to enter your tracking number in the website of the sender or websites such as UPS or Fedex. You can track your package by simply entering the tracking number in the Google search engine and leave the rest to Google to provide you with all the details you seek.

2. Track your Flight:

Flight Tracking is another useful feature provided by Google, as you can enter the airline name and the flight number into Google’s search engine and you get results which will provide you with the details of the flight such as the departure and arrival time plus other details. This will help you to get the information about any flight, without the need to follow it through other means, such as with the airline itself.

3. Recreate your Gmail Address:

One of the features of Gmail is that it does not recognize dots in its system, so this gives you the ability to create many email addresses by simply adding dots anywhere you want. And also, any email sent to username@gmail.com and u.s.e.r.n.a.m.e@gmail.com will have to end in the same email mailbox, since Gmail does not consider dots as characters; therefore the two emails are treated as the same.

4. Searching using "Tilde":

You may have used or will use the Google search engine to look for certain terms. However, if you use tilde with the search term, Google will include the related terms or similar words that you were not aware of or perhaps forgot. This feature will definitely help you to have more productive searing results and to find exactly what you are looking for.

5. Beatbox:

If you wish to enjoy some singing by Google Translator, then this feature may set free for your creativity. If you put a chain of random letters in Google translator, then you may notice that the “Listen” button in Google translator has changed into “BeatBox”, which means that Google translator will sound the written letters as beatbox. You may try it with this sample made before, and enjoy the beatbox in Google translator. Just copy paste it “pv kkk pkkk pvpvpv ppkk pddd bschk bschk pv zk pv bschk pv pv pv bschk bschk bschk kkkkkkkkkk bschk bsch"

6. Games with YouTube:

No one would feel bored if his/her Smartphone is around. Still, if you are bored and you do not have a Smartphone, you can spend some time with this nice trick. Simply go to YouTube, search for any video, click on it and then type 1980. This will trigger a nice classic game, in which you need to protect your video from the missiles. This game can help you spend some time if you’re feeling bored (and the boss isn’t watching!).

7. Do a Barrel Roll:

This is a funny trick done by the Google search engine, which many people are not familiar with. When you enter in the search box of Google the phrase “do a barrel roll”, your Google page will roll around in the screen which is related to some classic games when the chapter ends or winning a certain stage.

8. Klington as Search Engine:

This is a hidden feature for Star Trek fans. If you’re a dedicated trekky, then you can experience the Klingon language in Google’s Klingon Search which will add a nice Klingon touch to your search engine, and you may also enjoy using the Klingon translator and dictionary.

Thank-You!

Remove Google features(step by step with pictures)

Learn how to banish Google’s bloatware, including all G Apps and the Google Search bar:

Description:

One of the major advantages of rooting your Android smartphone or tablet is that you can remove apps and features that are otherwise read-only and therefore not possible to uninstall. Even though Android is classed as an open platform, most Android devices are tightly integrated with Google’s suite of services. It’s not uncommon to find many read-only Google apps on your typical Android device, such as Gmail, Hangouts, Google+, Galler and, of course, the Play store. Then, there’s Google Now and the Google Search bar, which automatically appear on the ho screen of many Android devices. While Google’s apps and services can come in handy, it’s unlikely you’ll have a use for all the Google products that come pre-installed on ical Android device. Removing the apps and services you don’t use can free up memory, resources and mobile data usage on your device, not to mention help prevent your home-screen and app drawer from becoming cluttered. This tutorial covers the different ways you can ’de-Google‘ your device, from deleting read-only apps, to hiding the Google Search bar on your home-screen, disabling Google Now, and even installing a new, Google-free boot animation. As you might expect from a Hacker Zone tutorial, most of the methods described here require a rooted device, but even if you don’t have root access, there are still a few tricks you can use to loosen Google’s hold on your device.

Replace Google Hangouts:

If you’re not a Hangouts fan, you can
use an alternative app for your SMS
messaging, regardless of whether you
have root. Download a new messaging
app from the Play store (try Handcent
SMS or Chomp SMS), then open your
device’s Settings, tap Default SMS
app and choose an alternative.

Remove

Google Now:

Even if you don’t have root, you can
disable Google Now by opening the
service (either by swiping upwards,
or swiping to the left homescreen).
Scroll to the bottom of Google Now,
tap the three-dotted menu icon,
select Settings and then push the
slider to the Off position.

Disable system apps

If uninstalling one of Google’s
read-only apps sounds too
permanent, you can disable the app
instead, so you have the option of
re-enabling it at a later date. To
disable an app, open your device’s
Settings, tap Apps, select the app in
question and then tap Disable.

System App
Remover

To remove read-only apps,
download System App Remover
from Google Play. Launch the app
and open its menu by tapping the ‘<’
symbol. Choose System app to see
your read-only apps. Remover warns
against uninstalling certain ones,
but you can uninstall anything here.

Uninstall

system apps

In System App Remover, select the
app you want to remove, and then
tap Uninstall. To recover this app at
a later date, launch System App
Remover and tap its trash can icon,
which acts like your computer’s
recycle bin. Find the app you want to
restore, and then tap Restore.

Replace stock boot animation

Depending on your device, you may
see the Google logo as a boot
animation. You can replace this using
a manager app, such as Boot
Animations Root, which can be
downloaded from Google Play. Open
the app, choose a new animation,
select Install and then reboot.

Remove Google Search bar

Nexus users get a permanent
Google Search bar on their
homescreen, which you cannot
delete. To remove this bar, you need
to download a new launcher. KitKat
Launcher+ (free on the Play store) is
almost identical, with the added
bonus of a removable Search bar.

 Experiment with launchers

Other launchers that are worth
exploring are Nova Launcher and
Apex Launcher, both of which can
be downloaded from the Play store.
Both the Nova and Apex launchers
enable you to remove the Google
Search bar, in addition to a whole
host of other customisations.

Flash a custom ROM

One of the most dramatic, but
effective ways of de-Googling your
device, is to fl ash a custom ROM.
ROMs give your device a new look,
and usually avoid unnecessary
system apps. The best place to
check what ROMs are available for
you is the XDA Developers forum.

Remove unwanted APKs

If your chosen ROM still contains
Google apps, you can remove these
before fl ashing the ROM. Download
and unzip the ROM on your
computer, open the system/app
folder and delete the unwanted
.apks. Then, re-zip the file and you’re
ready to fl ash it to your device.
